In Israel Yom Kippur is called 'Day of the Bicycles' by seculars. Because religious jews don't drive cars kids all over the country ride their bikes on the highway. Cool. A picture here of a different celebration.
Actually, religious Jews don't drive once a week on Shabbat. What makes Yom Kippur different is that even SECULAR Jews don't drive! Too bad people think only to utilize the streets for mudane recreation - while the nation is making a power statement about its deep belief in the Creator of the Universe.
